I work 13 days per month. I plan to semi retire around 55. Retire around 60. Our goal is to be worth $2.5M at that time.

I don't deem that exceedingly wealthy. However, it is wealthy enough to be hated. Why? Because I spent my life sacrificing to obtain a level of security? A lot of folks could become wealthy, but they are too busy buying the new iPhone, and throwing away cars every 5 years... It's easy to become "wealthy"... If you have self control. Don't hate people because you lack self control.

And this is the fallacy behind "rich people create jobs". They don't. They use profits to buy back their own stock (artificially inflating the price), or provide dividends to stockholders. Stockholders put the money somewhere safe (overseas, paying no tax).

There is ZERO incentive to create more jobs.

Yeah. I'd like to see your research proving your contention. I think you're full of it.

Did I shut this thread down last night or was it another one.
They all seem to run together lately.
Yes sir you did, but I am not trying to get it closed again, he called me out, and I answered. No personal attack that I can see, just a difference of opinion on how to distribute what I earn. I will step away if that is your wish?

Jobs create themselves or the government creates jobs. I mean, someone has to be hired to count all of the money stolen every year from those stupid enough to earn it and then someone else has to be hired to hand it all out to the brilliant people who live a life of leisure and don't earn a damned thing.

No I am good here just a brief reminder.
    I read back.

I can't figure out if it's more or less work than throwing tantrums. One things is clear however, all of it is easier than getting off your ass, taking responsibility for yourself and being a productive, mature member of society.

    I thought he said Library.

It'd be pretty awesome if someone could find that post before he gets back from the www.liberalplaybook.com website and replies only to the posts he could find guidance on. I'm starting to think troll, only because I have difficulty imagining that someone with a Ph.D. could be so small minded as to take issue with what others have.

I thought in another thread you stated that you only have internet access at work

    Interesting thread-jack.

I was escorted out of that library by BPD, for carrying in the library. Got a very nice lecture by officer friendly who questioned my reasoning for carrying in the children's section of the library. I took a very slow obvious gaze at both officer's sidearms and asked if we were free to go. ;)

David is a obvious believer of the liberal ideology "redistribution of wealth". That's really easy to believe in if it's not your wealth they want to redistribute. Personally I like the way Trump does it. He invests in buildings and projects that give jobs. Those investments feed family's forever. The investment profits go towards more investments and more jobs. That can perpetually go on forever.

Now if you take a large part of that income (which I might add is not earned by the government, it's taken) and let the government redistribute it what will you have? Mostly leaches living off the system. Some need it. most abuse the system.

Trump and people like him have less to invest with the higher taxes. Trickle down economics does work. We will always have poor people. Even with higher taxes on the wealthy. Some people are just failures and they don't even strive to help themselves. They have grown up to know the government will be there to take care of them. And it's wrong. I can see helping those that are truly disabled. I can even see helping a bit if someone is between jobs. But I personally know people that won't work because they can get by just living off the system.

I've flipped cheese burgers for $2.35 and I've educated myself until I succeeded. I've made as much as 130k a year. Am I a bad guy? I have earned every F'n cent I have. I have given enough of my money to the government to spend irresponsibly. I'd like to waste that cash myself. Screw the leaches.

Oh man can I relate to this.
My 1st by the hour job was $1 an hour carrying tools for my uncle. I was 14. This was after my paper route ended.
From there it was a long list of other minimum wage jobs and I still worked for my uncle when he needed me. As I got older and more knowledgeable he paid me more. This was my 1st HVAC-R job and it blossomed into a career. I have made a decent living working my tail off. The wife has done the same and she hase eclipsed me in total income during our time together in our regular jobs. My business have evened this out a bit.
We owed a good chunk to the man every year and paid it in full but also paid a professional to see that we were not "Raped" by the Gov. just as anyone else would do.
We paid and paid and paid.
The wife is on SSD due to medical issues she has suffered since she was 29. 57 now and unable to hold a regular job. I am drawing my SS check as well. I opted into this at 62. My retirement benefit through the 20 plus years in the union puts us in a comfortable retirement. We can live on the fixed income.
Anything extra I work my tail off for.
I know many who work from home because they are not able to drive/commute or work in the 9 to 5 world because of issue's they are dealing with. They do not rail about wanting the system to take care of them and do OK with what they have.

Big brother loves the d890's of the world.
