While I believe that is true, I think it would violate the decorum of the legislature.

The Committee Chair I'm most familiar/know best is Ben Smaltz. He's a very strong 2A supporter, but hell would freeze over before he went along with Act's plan. Maybe with Jim Lucas as a Chairman? Oh hell, Bosma would run through the halls of the Statehouse throwing Hoppes around like Holy Water if that was ever whispered.

Well, when I had my chance in Portage, I think I kept the "high road".
But looking at the video, I wish I prepared better.

Well, it's not State Level, but I spoke at a Portage City council meeting where a priest keeps trying to push anti-gun stuff to the council.

I prefer to refer to it as pointing out facts. Verifiable to those in the audience that might not have noticed, that there were no facts presented by MDA, or the argument had nothing to do with the bill discussed.

Easier to work in the time when I have to drive 20 minutes, vs the 2.5 hours I'd need.
But, it would be fun to do.
Though I might have to prepare a bit better. This was just stuff off the top of my head. I got off work to print up what I wanted.

My 20 minutes includes the 5 minute walk to my car

The light bulb just came on Act. Fight the fight from Da Region. My NRA-ILA POC (I LOVE ACRONYMS!!) is going to be in Lake County next week. From his text "... where we can help mobilize people there better against county and city anti gun efforts"

If you want I'll reach out and see where he's going to be. He said he had several meetings up there.

Does anyone know why HB 1284 didn't get called for a vote in the Senate today? On Facebook, Guy Relford sounded pretty surprised/blindsided, since it was scheduled.

I'm not a facebook user so I cannot see Guy's comments...

I'll have to think a bit about volunteering though.
I'm lucky enough to only work 48 hours the last couple weeks, but vacations come up soon, and I'll be back up to 64 to 72 hour weeks.

As far as I could tell, the priest was the only anti-gunner. Though there MAY have been one or two that didn't speak up.

Still waiting for the video from the Judiciary Committee hearing. We had to change rooms due to an injured person (no kidding, broke an ankle.) I have more comments on that one, some I can actually read.
