I'm sure that all applicable sound checks were performed and verified, so those should be easy to provide to rule out intentional acts

About the mic. From what I heard, the sensitivity was adjusted too high. It was picking up his sniffling. At some point they corrected it. I don't really think there's anything nefarious with the mic. That's not going to change the minds of decided voters. And if it changes the minds of undecided voters, the universe would probably be better without them.

I do remember that now having seen the video. It was all over local news here. Apparently the campaign workers knew she was a "move on" affiliate and were trying to step in front of her so that her sign couldn't be seen. They clearly went beyond that. Paul fired the campaign worker who stepped on her. I don't recall if charges were filed against the campaign worker, but there probably should have been.
