My new Sig 1911 TACPAC. Second Sig, first 1911, unless the Sig P938 is counted as a mini.

Here is the P938. It is accurate for a 9MM with a 2 inch barrel.

I have been thinking of buying a Kimber Ultra Carry II. are they worth the extra money compared to another brand. I have heard a lot of good things about Kimber but still don't understand the cost difference between brands like Colt and S&W

Just put it back together. It was all stainless and never really grew on me, so I changed it up a bit. Plus there were a couple things I saw that I could do better so I reworked some of my earlier handy work. I like it much better now.

Not bad, you should try gun painting for a living. :) If it only had a aluminum trigger.

This is my Sig Traditional Compact. I just picked it up Tuesday. I've been wanting another compact 1911 ever since I sold my Kimber. I think This will fill that void nicely! Luckily I kept my Wilson Combat compact mags. The ones that came with it seem cheap.

    Oh and

:p Churchmouse! A Ricerocket beats a Harley again!

Sweet 1911's efpeter! I really like the new grips on the Springfield Armory! Is that the operator model?

Yes. It is from the custom shop though. Warren Tactical orders them in small batches. There is a lot of great info here pistol-training.com » Blog Archive » Springfield/Warren 9mm 1911 Endurance Test: Report #24 That one has really been put through the ringer. I have only had it to the range once. It failed to lock on an empty mag three times, but it was in the first five or six mags I ran thru it. It didn't happen again, so I am thinking it may just need a little break in.
Manually cycling it, you can really feel when it unlocks. Slide is snug with out being ridiculously tight like some custom guns. Fit an finish is every bit as good as Ed Brown. But, being a custom shop gun, it costs almost as much as a Brown!

Thanks! My second set of VZ grips. I really like them. Since this is more of a range toy, I thought I would put something a little more fun on them... What is better than the Punisher?
