    I need to get a picture of mine when I get a chance... it's a Ballester Molina like Karl's, only mine is about 1945-ish issue date and was "Ejercito Argentino" (army).

    Hey Karl, do you run across Molina's very often? I'd like to find one a Navy one some time down the road....

    A pair of *Star's*

    Hi Guy's and Girl's;

    Well, I'm doing my part for gun control. I've just taken another gun off of the street and out of the hands of criminals. :rockwoot:

    Here's my latest purchase. It's a Star model BKM 9 mm, 98% NIB with all of the paper work and case. I think the fellow (or Gal ) that bought it probably fired one magazine through it and stuck it in the nightstand and left it there for a few decades (1975 or so ?).
    I have been looking for one of these for a couple of months or more because it also has the light weight alloy frame like my PD's.
    It looks very much like my Star PD's and I'm looking for two sets of grips with the gold Star medallions to make them match up even better.

    Have a great week everybody. Regards, Dan. :patriot:

    :yesway: What grips are those? VZ's? Kinda look like they were from a bobtail.

    Far as I know they are factory. Some other's who seen it can attest to it not being fired when I got it. As a matter of fact a dealer was comming to pick it up at the end of a 1500 toward the end of the show as I was filling out the paperwork.

    Fully engraved Combat Master, been sitting in my safe for a little while, took it out today for some photos. The grips are custom made linen micarta with the Detonics logo carved into them but I've got another set, a very special set being made. So I'll drag this out for more photos in a few months when those grips arrive.

    Until then, enjoy this gun porn

    :rockwoot: :wow: Just out of curiosity did you buy that gun engraved or have it done yourself? That is some OUTRAGEOUS craftsmanship, a very beautiful gun. Most of the time I say to myself, "That gun looks neat," but that is a work of ART!!! I sure would have been upset if he scratched my gun while doing that.

    I did not commission that engraving. I just saw it and had to have it :yesway: It is the only fully engraved Detonics Combat Master that I have ever seen. I know of a couple that are roughly 50% engraved, but none I know of that have that level of engraving. I'm a member a Detonics collectors group, seen lots and lots of them, none are even close to that one.

    It's definetly a beauty. :yesway: It harkens back to the old days when gun making was an art and makers treated their products as such.
