What is this with the interesting frontstrap... windowing?

That is a springfield... the cutting was done by a custom shop out of Pennsylvania called Hatfields.

We also custom fit the slide to the frame, Match barrel, Oversized bushing and slide stop fitted, 10-8 flat trigger, Fiber optic front sight, New springs, Caspian ambi safety, Polished finish, Novak rear sights, The front strap custom cutouts for recoil reduction, and tossed on a pair of VZ Gator Backs.... came out pretty decent!

It's almost perfect! Swept beaver tail, memory bump, flat mainspring housing...etc. I like it! And if I'd go, I'd take you up on that!

Yes ALMOST perfect is right. Im gonna swap out the ambi safety for a single sided Wilson Combat, upgrade to an aluminum or stainless mainspring housing, add night sights, and maybe some G-10 grips. Then it will be perfect. Atleast for my tastes.

Sadly Wilson Combat's websight shows the Stainless mainspring housing is out of stock. Havent checked Brownells yet. Im going to as soon as Im off work though.

Did a little swapping around and picked this RIA up yesterday. Probably will do a few little upgrades from Wilson Combat, but took it out today and it performed flawless. Just something about a 1911
