My latest. Rock Island Arms GI 1911A1

I just got done refinishing it.

I replaced the mainspring housing with a GI surplus one with a lanyard loop.
It also has Colt double diamond 1911 grips.
I replaced the sights with one with a slightly higher profile, but retaining the GI look.
Refinished with KG Gun-Kote satin gray.

Thanks for the kind words.

I've only fired about 400 rounds thru it, with zero issues. 100 rounds of that were 230gr lead roundnose reloads, the rest were 230gr fmj hardball.

The accuracy is on par with other 1911s that I own.

The gun I traded to get this gun was a Para Ord P12 that I could never get to feed right. This one is a keeper.

Now I'm thinking about a RIA Tactical.
