I have several first cousins born in Africa as was their father and his family. All in the Belgian Congo-Zaire-Congo. They are all white folk. One or two of the cousins however have now married into the native populations, although I don't believe they were from the Congo.

The bail amount that was set was based on monies available to them, apparently they had around $135,000, a load.

My understanding is that bail was supposed to be proportionate to the risk of flight, not how much a person has, and not an instrument of impoverishment. Maybe the judge is in on the fix and wants to interfere with his ability to pay his lawyer.

now i havent followed the case very well so i may not be informed. but is there any evidence that zimmerman wasn't legit? or was a gangbanging thug? i thought he was a saint and spent his life trying to help kids like trayvon?
