I don't think it matters if the parents were liberal or conservative. What matters is politicians use stories like these to try and get more control of our lives. So this is not a political party agenda problem but a government agenda problem.

My girl was so terrified of me buying a firearm. Then she didn't want me to CC, now I've got her looking at getting herself her own HG. Once people are armed with knowledge they will accept and encourage firearms.
And actually last I heard, they had somehow streamlined the process to make getting the license much faster. But I doubt that, the only way you can make gov't bureaucracy work faster is by privatizing it.
It is a great feeling the day it arrives in the mail. I got mine last summer, it took every bit of 2 months and a couple days to get it. Perhaps the surge of new applicants has dwindled and won't take as long. But, congrats! :cheers:
