What type of 1911 do you think I should get?
i'm on the same search. I hadn't been looking at S&W's, but today i checked out their line. Scandium Alloy Frames? Is that different than a Colt with an Al frame? anyone ever shot and S&W E-series? i understand it's a weight issue related to using a gun for CC. other than that, what's the... -

that's good info jeremiah. i'm looking into getting a 1911 in the next month or two. i've heard quite a few members comment about getting out and back into 1911, and regretting selling off theirs. any insight into those comments? are they just that awesome? i personally have never shot one... -

right, but the m1911a1, which is what i thought all modern 1911s are modeled, was built in the 20s. could be wrong. -
