      Thanks to the Volunteers!

      I worked in the NRA store Saturday 12 - 6:30 and had a great time! It was the busiest time of the whole weekend for the store but everyone was patient and friendly with each other in the long lines. I won't hesitate to volunteer again.

      1500 vendor

      Does anyone know who the vendor was that had the solar panel on a wheeled cart? He was running a TV from the solar charged battery bank on the cart. Thanks.

      I am thrilled with the generous number of responses! I will use my handgun for HD until I can get to a store in the next couple of weeks to look at the youth model shotgun. We already have an emergency plan in place; who does what and goes where etc., as someone suggested. I was at the range...

      More info; I'm in my early 50's and regularly shoot handguns, my favorite being my FNS. I have never shot an AR15 so know I wouldn't be very accurate with one. I don't have any grandchildren or other kids around the house so all no gun locks. I thought the larger spray pattern from a shotgun...

      For home defense, a lightweight AR or a 3" Taurus Judge 410/45? I like the idea of of the Judge because it spreads out the shot but would be interested in your opinion. I looked at the lightweight AR because I'm an old woman and haven't ever shot long guns.

      Gun Safes on Sale today at TSC

      We keep debating about getting a safe. Do we keep all the guns in it and take one or two out at night? Or do we keep about half in the safe and the other half around the house? That kind of thing. Can't quite figure it out.

      Oct. '12 1500 - Admission Prices

      We were going to go to the 1500 today but went to IHOP instead and spent less than $20 on a great breakfast. We might have missed some "great deals" but I'm happy with our change of plans.

      Pro-Mag for the LCP??

      Don't waste your money on these mags. I have one where the follower sticks, taking tension off the rounds remaining and they fail to feed. Only use Ruger mags.
