That's a great poem. Thanks for sharing it. It showed a really cool comparison between what they did fighting and what their fighting won us the freedom to do. Well done and thanks again for sharing. Pretty cool stuff.
What a game! It was nice to see how the new OC finally called the game like Pep did in the first half against New England. Luck was throwing nice short passes and we were consistently running the ball well. I am a little dissapointed though that Peyton didn't get the record in Indy. That would...
I really want to get a 1911. I love the look of them and the feel. I think it is a classic looking gun. I would love for it to be a Kimber 1911 for the quality. I am also looking at a XDS. My buddy just got one a while ago and has been going on non stop about how awesome it is and that I need to...
I have shot several Taurus' before and Liked them. They felt good shooting them and I never had a problem the times I have shot their revolvers. My brother has one and doesn't complain about it at all. He probably shoots it about once or twice a month, so not a ton, but definitely likes it!
I was hiking down in brown county and in the middle of the woods there was something that looked like an old chicken coop. The weird thing was that it wasn't around any homes or farms. It may have been protecting something that was growing from deer a while ago, but nothing was currently in it...
Wow that's scary. One of my buddies who hunts from tree stands always tether's himself to a limb just so this doesn't happen. It can be a little cumbersome but can also save a life. Prayers go out to the family.
I've had grouse once and really liked it. I was at the new store in Carmel, Market District the other night and they actually have fresh grouse there. I have had a venison stew my brother-in-law makes that is amazing. Mix it with some spices, potatoes and carrots and you're in business!
I need to check this place out. I wish they had it when I was at college there. We had to drive to Atterbury. I am excited to try this place out when I go back there for reunions and games. But excited to try it out, even though it looks pretty expensive.
A 22lr seems like a great way to go, but there are also a few other types of loads that could be good for them to use. I personally think the 32 S&W could be an option. However, if they want to shoot a decent amount with ease, the 22lr is the way to go. It is very cheap and you can shoot it all...
That was hilarious. I was not expecting the burger to react like that when it got shot. It sure shows the impact of kinetic energy (pun intended). Thanks for posting. Will have to watch more of that stuff, pretty fun to watch.
That's pretty good shooting. I have been training a little to get closer to that. My goal is later next year to at least have one target where most of the shots go through and make one big hole, instead of several smaller holes. Good shooting man!
That was a good article. Especially when he pointed out that when choosing a home defense gun, think about having to use it from only 5-10 yards. Which is why he then went into his paragraph about why a rifle isn't really the best choice for home defense. Which one of my buddies has, I may send...
When I have had to clean a gun case I have just used water and soap and then let it air dry. It has worked for me but I don't know if it will work on super plush fabric, as the ones I have used have been standard padding on the inside.
That's awesome. I have been thinking about doing some makeup to my AR. I have been afraid to mess it up though. You did a great job. Did you think it was very difficult to do?
The gun smith (blanking on his name) who works at the Indiana Gun Club in fishers is great. He is friendly and super knowledgeable. I would give them a call at (317) 485-6540.
When I was shooting there with a buddy, his gun was having a problem and we took it to him, he took it apart real...
That is a quality gun. One of my buddies has one and only has good things to say. They are very reliable and an absolute blast to shoot. He won't buy any other brand now because of how good they are. Congrats on getting a great gun. I'm jealous!
From what I know, they are a lot of fun to shoot. I have unfortunately only shot one once, but have read a little into them. They are a little less accurate (also dependable on who is shooting them), then the AR, but have more stopping power. They are a great gun however, in that they last a...
I think Remington and Kimber both make an excellent .308. You should think about if you want it to be a heavy or regular barrel. I would suggest heavy, for added accuracy and feel. If name is important to you you should, the two mentioned are really good. If you don't care too much about name...
That's a great life for a gun! I bet you could find the extractor out there somewhere. I know there are places that sell parts that have been specifically discontinued. It may be a little more expensive for obvious reasons, but if you do your homework I think you could find it somewhere. Also...
I have a shield in a .40, and have it with the thumb safety. I think it is the way to go. I adds a little more security, and takes your thought away from an AD. It doesn't have a negative side to it... More protection, less accidents, I don't think you can go wrong with a thumb safety.
