      This is actually how I set my fence posts. I had considered doing the same for the wood shed but was concerned with the wind in the soft soil. With the center being almost 12' high and the posts only being 3' deep, I am concerned that it would shift too much over the years.

      Where are you staying in New Castle? If I'm not mistaken, most of the hotels are on hwy 3, south of town. Not much out that way except some fast food joints. There used to be a diner a few miles north, closer to town, but I believe it may have burnt down.

      I know this sounds too simple, but have you tried to disconnect the battery and then reconnect it after a few minutes? It could be a hiccup in the cpu and if this is the case, it will resolve your issue.
