FNH FNS or FNX? Why would you pick one over the other?

I went ahead an bought the FNX because I, literally, have close to a dozen other 9mm striker fired pistols. I like the 'double strike' capability the FNX offers if you have run across hard primer or something. There again, I honestly cannot recall having any of my Glocks, S&W or Ruger striker...

Has anyone experienced or heard of older polymer pistols breaking?

As I've attempted to clarify, I am ignorant when it comes to the properties of polymers. I'm certainly not disagreeing with anything anyone has posted as either pragmatic ruminations or theorizations concerning the matter. I want to thank you for your consultation. It has supplemented my...

Has anyone experienced or heard of older polymer pistols breaking?

Thanks. Without a doubt, I have more than plenty of duplicates as well as probably a hundred mags as well as more ammo than I'm likely to use in my life. I tend to keep my vehicles until it is no longer practical; until parts are hard to find and there is a legitimate concern of something old...

FNH FNS or FNX? Why would you pick one over the other?

Any idea what kind of promotion and how far off it may be? I have more time than money. :-)

FNH FNS or FNX? Why would you pick one over the other?

Well, cool! I see that Reds has them with night sights for under $500 shipped. Is that about the best price?

      First Conceal Carry Gun Advice

Its guarded. On a hiking trip I fell right on my firearm with a tree root directly impacting the trigger area. I hit hard enough to snap the trigger guard part off. I called Versacarry to buy a replacement part and they insisted on sending me an entire new unit! Even though I admitted it was my...

FNH FNS or FNX? Why would you pick one over the other?

I know there loads of threads about one gun over another. I honestly tried to see if there was a thread comparing these two. I know the FNX is hammer fired and the FNS is striker fired. Other than that, they seem the same to me. I know you get a second strike on a cartridge that by chance...

      First Conceal Carry Gun Advice

I have to agree with you on the VersaCarry. I have two holsters exactly as the one pictured and, for the life of me, I cannot get even remotely comfortable with those style holsters. Obviously, everyone is different, but IMHO it seems like I'd have to wear pants at least 2" to 4" too big to...

      Anyone have both?? xds9/g26....

I have an XD-S 9 and an XD-S .45. IMHO, the XD-M 9mm 'feels' closer to the Glock because the XD-S pistols have a grip that is thinner than the G26; at least they feel that way to me.

      Anyone have both?? xds9/g26....

I have owned some generation of the G26 for over a decade. I've also had a XD-M for almost a year. IMHO, they compare very favorably; which is surprising for me to say because I really like my Glocks. One thing that surprised me though is when I took my Gen4 G26, my XD-M 9mm, and my S&W M&P...

Has anyone experienced or heard of older polymer pistols breaking?

I believe you expressed my thoughts on the matter. I just have to think polymers will degrade over time, but I also think their almost total lack of exposure to UV makes such potential degradation out to an unknown delta. Also, 'phylodog' probably hit it on the head; if there was a problem...

Has anyone experienced or heard of older polymer pistols breaking?

Wow, what a great forum! Thanks to all who have replied!! So, if I'm not too dense (warning - this is possible), polymer firearms are made from superior polymers than common plastic pipes, right? Okay, if so, does that mean that a polymer pistol manufactured in the last year is likely made of...

Has anyone experienced or heard of older polymer pistols breaking?

I honestly haven't, but I still wonder about it happening. I dropped a wrench on a plastic pipe that is several years old and it shattered like glass. That just got me wondering if older polymer firearms could suffer the same peril? Oh, BTW, hey everyone. I'm a Hoosier firearm addict and...
