Traveling to Las Vegas via Airline. CC in the Grand Canyon?

Note to self: make sure I never let my wife read this post! ;) And, I think we'll stick with the more popular frequently travelled trails.

Traveling to Las Vegas via Airline. CC in the Grand Canyon?

Interesting, I didn't even consider that. I assumed that it was a National Park. Also, while I am not certain, I thought that unless you are a member of the particular tribe, then their laws do not apply and ultimately federal/state laws do. I may be wrong though.

Traveling to Las Vegas via Airline. CC in the Grand Canyon?

I wonder if the class I took when I applied for my Utah CC permit would apply for the AZ permit?

Traveling to Las Vegas via Airline. CC in the Grand Canyon?

Hello all, I will be on a business trip in Las Vegas later this year. While we are there my wife and I plan to hike the Grand Canyon. When I asked my wife if she would be willing to go on a couple of the longer but more popular hikes, she reluctantly agreed and said that since we would be...

      Sig Sauer 1911???

My 1911 search may be over! Thank you Sig Sauer for going with the more traditional looking rounded top slide. :yesway: Tactical-Life.com » COMPACT COMBAT .45

      Sig Sauer 1911???

Thanks for the info. After reading your post I did some research and it seems as though the new Sig frames are forged. I have read conflicting claims though. One post claimed that they are forged in house, and another claims that they have another company providing them. One thing that seems...

      Sig Sauer 1911???

I don't believe so. I know you can't believe everything you read on the internet, but I have read on Sig and dedicated 1911 forums that while they used to use Caspian frames, they do not anymore. The most recent post that stated that was from 2010. I am not sure if that is a good or bad...

      Sig Sauer 1911???

That's good to know. I have my eyes on a Milt Sparks VM2 but I was concerned that it wouldn't be compatible with the Sig should I go that route. The Sig RCS has quickly made its way into a serious alternative to the Kimber Compact CDP as my first 1911. Although, I recently heard that they...

      Sig Sauer 1911???

That's what I was thinking as well. It seems to have more of a squared off slide than rounded like other 1911's. I figured that would cause problems with holsters designed for traditional 1911's.

      Sig Sauer 1911???

Interesting read. Thanks for posting. I never realized Sig made such "interesting" guns. They are definitely priced right. I see that a shop has them in stock too $699. The Ruger SR1911 Centerfire Pistol But, I am looking for something in a compact size for CC. I looked for a...

      Sig Sauer 1911???

I just got back from the local gun shop. I was actually going there to purchase my first 1911, a Kimber, preferably a compact size, provided they had one in stock. They did not, but had plenty of Ultra's. :( Little too small. So I was speaking with a salesperson who's opinion I have always...

Kimber QC and Customer Service Issues?

Agreed, my H&K 40 cal is also incredibly reliable no matter what kind of ammo. I am not as big a fan of the .40 round as much as the .45, but if I ever needed something on me that I had to bet my life on, it would be my H&K. As far as the 1911, I also decided to go with Kimber. Now to pick...

Kimber QC and Customer Service Issues?

Thanks for the info. What would be considered extended range sessions? I usually go through a couple boxes (100 rounds) of 45 and a box or so each of 9 mm and 40 cal when I do make it out to Midwest. Then I try to get some time in with my AR. So even when I do get out, it's not all with the...

Kimber QC and Customer Service Issues?

Thanks for the offers, I live in South Bend and my schedule is also a bit crazy but if I am ever near Fort Wayne or Laporte I will keep that in mind. It is much appreciated. The closest range to me is Midwest Gun in Elkhart (30 min away) and it seems that the rare times I have available are...

      Can Anyone Convince Me?

I was in the same boat. I always heard my friends rave about their Glocks. They always told me to get one and I would love it. So I decided to buy another friend's G23. He didn't really shoot much and just had it sitting around. I bought it really was just because I didn't have one, wanted...

Kimber QC and Customer Service Issues?

Thanks again for the replies. I agree, I have also gone with "good deals" only to end up spending a whole lot more money to correct my mistake. Not that long ago actually when I purchased a certain popular boxy polymer gun that will go unnamed, ;) when I could have put the $$$ towards a...

Kimber QC and Customer Service Issues?

Thanks for the replies. Actually the used gun is from a gun shop about 5-6 hours away so I won't be able to see it. It is a good price though. $949 for a (90-95%) gun that lists for $1,318 new. My only concern is that if I did have to send it back to Kimber for some reason, would they...
