I used to grind my own beans (Starbucks Komodo Dragon) and use a french press. I drink my coffee black and this resulted in a good strong cup. However, my son is 2yrs old now and I am just greatful for a couple of cups from my Keurig. It's weak but it's quick.
I'm with you. I bought a M&P shield 9 because Glock doesn't make a single stack 9. While the stock trigger in the shield was decent, I wanted it to be more like my stock Glock trigger. So I purchased the Apex d/c trigger kit. The kit was worth it, however, I still don't like it as well as...
I am relatively new (less than a year) to EDC. I am, however, not new to riding a motorcycle. I have given this subject a lot of thought lately. I ride in ATTGAT, All The Gear All The Time, which includes a full face helmet, motorcycle jacket, Motorcycle pants, boots and gloves. I ride this...
I installed the Apex duty/carry kit on my shield. I watched the video linked on the Apex website. Pretty easy although I did swear a bit getting the trigger spring lined up with the pin. Pretty easy for a novice like myself, though. I also replaced the sights while I was at it.
I can't comment on the XS sights but I went with Ameriglo I-dot pro for my Shield and they are great. However, as good as they are, they will not correct user error. Sorry. That's what the Apex DCAK trigger kit is for! :):
Shield 9mm has replaced my Glock 19 for EDC. Installed the apex kit and couldn't be happier. Well, maybe if glock introduced a single stack I could be.
I was also very impressed with this gun when I held it at the booth. Very smooth and light action with a great trigger. I'd love to shoot one. I'm betting the wife would like it also. Mothers day is coming up. Hmmmmmmmm............. :)
I changed mine out myself. First time for me. It went pretty smooth, actually.
I installed the Ameriglo pro i-dot sights. I love them. Easy and fast sight acquisition.
That's awesome! I'm glad you were able to improve it. I think you'll find that rounding the block will improve the feel even more. I only did the Apex kit because I was trying to achieve a more Glock like trigger.
Good luck and post up your results when you finish.
I'm not sure what you're wanting to achieve but I installed the Apex duty/cary kit in my shield 9 and I am very pleased with the results. The profile of the striker block is a uniform dome compared to stock. I did shoot it with just the new striker block and it smoothed out the pull noticeably...
I have a G19 and a Shield 9. I liked the Crossbreed Supertuck for my G19 so much that I bought another one for my Shield 9. I also use a Remora for to and from work where I can't carry. I don't have a lot of experience with different holsters but this setup works for me.
The G19 is all day...
I also CC the G19 Gen4 in a supertuck or a remora and it can be cumbersome at times. So I bought a Shield and I can say, yes, it is definitely more comfortable. For the most part it disappears under just a t-shirt and I don't even notice it while sitting in the car. The safety is just...
My wife has had hers since October. She just did get her LTCH so she hasn't carried it much yet. We do, however, go to the range quite a bit and the finish has held up very well. No discernible marks that I can see. She keeps it in a Remora holster that I picked up for her. It's a very nice...
