      No. 11, a new design.

2 questions.... 1: Are you doing your own HTing? (oven?) 2: Are you making your own canvas Micarta? My reasoning is that I have been experimenting myself with both and trying to justify buying an oven or send out. thanks for the input Troy

      Newest knife

I really like the choice of the curly maple handle. Love the look of a natural wood on a knife.

      Back at it.

Very nice and clean knives !! Is that a scotch-brite belt? if so, is that the corse or medium? That is the line pattern I have been looking for but haven't bought a belt for my 1x30. I still do mine by hand.

My Pro Tech....Broke, heck! Am I crazy for wanting this warranty repaired?

Many years ago I owned a Manufacture's Rep Agency and dealt with many type returns and customer service issues. Many times I would get calls the same way ... "All I did was .... and pryed it up this way ... and it fell this way ... " and the end result was "even though I did all these things...

      Your first "knife" memory.

My first remembrance was watching my father skin his critters. He was a major trapper (back in the early 70's when prices were $$$$). He had this old case xx 2 blade folder. I watched him use this knife for years until I was finally of age to skin my first muskrat. He let me use HIS knife...

Fixed Blades ... What do you prefer?

You did NOT offend me nor did I take it offensive. Let me explain my position better. I am an avid pool player and used to own 2 different pool rooms and pro shops. I sold many, many different production cues. From the cheaper models to the very expensive ones. When a person walked in, I...

Fixed Blades ... What do you prefer?

I am certainly not trying to reinvent the wheel. Since I am new to the forum, and it is the "Cutting Edge", I had not seen this topic in the archives. I wanted to start a new topic that might be of interest to others and what makes them want to purchase a certain style of knife. I know...

Fixed Blades ... What do you prefer?

I am very impressed with all the responses... thank you all !!! So far, I am hearing that ESEE and Strider seem to be the blades of choice. These are great and proven knives and companies. I have been seeing from the posts that most stay in the "production" lines, does anyone delve into the...

You ARE VERY Correct Brad ... I hit the 6 instead of the 7. I got it when I was 15 ... so that makes it about 1978 ... Thx for the correction !!!
