My first gun. my dad gave it to me right before hunting season when I was eleven. Remington 870 wingmaster. Killed a lot of game with that gun. I still shoot it from time to time.
I've been looking at these as well, I'm leaning towards the Invader because it has the draw assist. I've heard good things about Wicked Ridge for the price.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe a 1/7 twist would be better for hunting with heavier bullets. 1/9 twist is better for 55 and 62gr bullets. If your just plinking it probably won't matter, but if you want a heavier bullet for coyotes you'll want a 1/7 twist.
I'm not sure how...
I've always heard good things about the Rossi. I was going to buy one last year, but I got a deal on a pre safety marlin .44 mag. Love the lever actions!
I have 2 places I hunt, one place is a small. 7 acres in the middle of a big woods. I have 2 stand locations on the property. I've sat for several days and not seen a deer. I've had as many as 11 deer at one time walk up on me. It just depends on where the deer are going that day I guess...
Pick the roll mark you like and buy it. You can get a Blemished PSA for $49-$59. I think that's a good price for a fordged lower. My first AR was a budget build. Came in under $600. If I had gotten everything from PSA I think I could have been closer to $500.
