Weather isn't too predictable, but right now is showing mostly sunny and hot, in the 90's.
If you have a pop up cover feel free to bring it as I do not have a covered firing line. Bring plenty of water, sun screen, and any snacks/lunch you want, etc.
Plan to make a full day of it (0900 -...
Anyone else? Week an a half to go. Have room for 9 shooters this time around and only have 4 signed up.
Come enjoy time with fellow Americans, learn true stories of our nation's History, and practice the fundamentals of rifle marksmanship.

PS: If you are ready for the full deal...
WOW! It's been a long time since the last mini - 3 months to be exact. With three full seeds at the range we have been busy.
July 24 is the next mini at Cloverdale. PM if you are planning to attend.
WOW, what a weekend!
Started at range capacity Saturday morning with 25 on the line, most new to Appleseed, several having driven down from Michigan. Weather humid, in the 70's. Intro with First Strike set the tone for our weekend and a busy morning.
After lunch and Second Strike we...
Royal-1,
Glad to have you and the family!
At this point the weather looks like ... hot! But :dunno:
Be prepared for anything - plenty of water, sunblock, etc. For you ladies, a button up collar on your blouse is nice to to help avoid hot brass down the neck.
You guys can just tough it...
Just a reminder for all - I will be setting up camp and the target lines Friday (26th) afternoon. Weather permitting will spend the evening around the campfire.
Will have bacon!
There is something to be said about trying to unlearn bad habits. We can make sight-in painless, understandable and do-able with minimum rounds expended. :D
But hey, trigger time is trigger time and you will meet more of your club members so I'd go for it.
I'll be at the range at 1500 hrs Friday to set up target line. Also setting up camp for the weekend.
Come on out! Have plenty of room.
Hmmmmm ............bacon around the campfire Friday and Saturday! All we need is a little rain to make it a perfect weekend :rockwoot:
Weather is looking great for you ladies. Supposed to dawn sunny, in the 70's - 80's both days.
We might get wet setting up the target line this afternoon though - poor us :D
As you probably know there is primitive camping at the range during the event. Porta-Jon, no showers and bring your own water. I will be there Friday afternoon through the weekend. :D
The Cloverdale RV Park is just 10 minutes from the range and they may have what you are looking for...
Our trainers are showing up Friday - a great group of gals fired up and ready to instruct you ladys in your heritage and fundamental rifle skills.
Don't miss this one!
PS: Bring your rain suits. :D
Dave
I agree.
I have several (from California) that my Grandfather made bookends out of. He cut them in half, then cut two small flats on each half so they would stand up and hold the books while displaying the cut and polished side.
Beautiful
Thanks for the AAR. Glad to hear you guy's had a great time. :rockwoot:
The Indiana Appleseed Instructors are ready and willing to help continue your successes. Come on out! :D
Now that was fun! Even if I started flinching after 3 hours of shooting my 9mm (now you know how often I shoot). The Ruger 22/45 didn't cause a problem though.
Thank you Angie for hosting. Was great to meet fellow INGO'ers.
Bought a 4" round steel to practice my 100yd prone rifle...
We want you to learn to shoot and get an excellent History lesson to boot. So ... yes, we will work with you.
WE promise -to have fun, to make you tired and sore, but not kill you!:rockwoot:
