Beautiful day for squeeeeeeeeeezing the trigger!
Started cool but warmed up nicely, with 4 shooters on the line. Our two young men Jake and Pete did great today with nice groups (from a rest). They were attentive and safe.
Looking forward to seeing everyone back for a full Appleseed.
Wife is more than welcome to come watch and listen to the History as we present it.
Just bring a comfortable chair.
(She will need to sign a Liability Release Form)
this Saturday at Cloverdale Conservation Club from 9AM to 4PM. Cost $10 a head. Bring drinks, lunch, a rifle (up to 8mm), 250 rds ammo, chair, shooting mat, eye & ear protection.
Weather is calling for partly sunny, but be prepared for anything. We shoot regardless, so dress accordingly...
When my Dad signed me up for the pistol classes I had no idea they would be so much fun!
I learned a lot and feel much more comfortable with the pistol. I especially learned that I can shoot the pistol with one hand:), though with my weak hand I really have to concentrate and remember to...
Dry it was, but cold.
We had a ball out there. Kathy and Kristina enjoyed the day and want to keep practicing what they learned. I just need to keep us in ammo now and yes, I need to buy a replacement handgun of my own. I lost my Glock 26 to Kathy and Kristina still needs one. Can't talk...
Excellent Class. I highly recommend this for a good basic handgun intro. My daughters' and I learned skills that greatly improved our gun handling.
Thank you Coach & Rhino!
FTF, I would suspect a problem with the mag, but from your description this isn't a problem with the first round feeding, so ......believe the standard velocity loads are just not giving you a consistent full "bolt stroke". "Short stroking"?
My 10/22 only runs consistently with CCI Mini...
Weatherman isn't calling for snow next weekend at Cloverdale, but .........We will still have a couple inches of ice with 6" - 8" of snow to lay in. But a snow storm :rockwoot: would be "funner".
What fun we had.
I don't think it gets any better - brisk shooting weather, attentive shooters and the thought provoking History of our Founding as a nation.

YHJ My condolences
Two Shoots this weekend ... Atlanta the 29th/30th and Cloverdale the 29th. Come out in the snow and join the fun.
Unfortunately the weather man isn't forecasting more snow and it looks like temps will be in the 30's at Cloverdale. :dunno: This is a Winter Seed?
Registration and deposit sent for self and two daughters. Will pay balance at end of month.
We are all looking forward to this class and the IP 101 in the afternoon .
Official 2011 shoot schedule is coming fast - get ready!
For a heads up I have a mini at Cloverdale Conservation Club scheduled for Jan 29 and a Winter Seed coming Feb 12/13.
ATM is bringing the snow! I'll have the bacon
Sounds interesting, but I would have to trade in my 45cal in-line ......... which wouldn't be so bad an idea. :D Hard to clean compared to a PC Plains rifle I once owned and "don't shoot no better" either.
