Last week I finally got to get my xdm 9 compact to the range for a good test run. It shot great except that it shoots about 3" lower than where I aim. This is my first pistol but I can't imagine that I'm aiming wrong. I just put the front white dot on the target. Any help would be awesome.
So I am on the hunt for a fun range rifle. I am looking for .22 caliber but that is about as far as I have thought. I am torn between something lever action, or a sporter type like the m&p 15-22, or an old reliable ruger. What do you guys have the most fun shooting? Any input would be great.
I bought my first pistol in February and have an AR on order which should be in at the end of October. My question is if I buy another gun this month what are the chances that I get denied when my AR comes in at the end of October? Is there a limit to how many or what kind you can buy in a month...
Double barrel. I understand your urge to shoot while sitting on the comfort of your couch. That is the reason I acquired a sweet pair of 6 shooters that are perfectly safe for this very reason. Nerf sells them for about 10 bucks each and with some extra darts and window crayons I can sit and...
The only data that I found on OAL was a minimum length of 1.100. So I went a touch longer basically to match the factory rounds I have and to make sure I didn't blow myself up. I figured I can seat the bullets lower after I determine that they are safe.
Well I will definitely try taking the barrel off and checking. I did load them in the mag and run the slide to make sure they fed and discharged properly. All checked out just fine. One question I have is if I keep the powder charge the same but set the bullet to 1.100 for example, will I gain...
Well I just finished loading 10 test rounds for my very first time in this exciting new adventure. I am loading 9mm using hp-38 with Winchester primers and rainier 115gr plated round nose bullets. I used 4.3 gr of powder with an OAL of 1.430-1.450 and a light crimp. I hope these work out ok...
I carry my xdm 9mm 3.8 daily and I like it just the way it came. I've thought about sights and a trigger job but I just spent that money on another gun instead.
OP. I was in your same position back in April when I ordered my first AR. I read the link that esrice posted which is a good breakdown of what you should look for in a quality rifle. With that information I spent about 3 months researching nearly everyday various rifle manufacturers. My final...
One cheaper way I have seen generators hooked up is to put a 240v receptacle on the outside that your generator plugs into with a dual male ended cord. This plug should be on its own breaker. When you lose power you simply turn off your main breaker and turn on the breaker for your generator...
"Beau, I asked your idea for prepping because the type of filter would be dependent on that. If you're bugging in, then a sawyer long-term style or the one that Somemedic linked would definitely be ideal. Why spend $80-100 on something that will only filter lets say 1,000 gallons of water when...
I bet it's not working because I am using my phone so I'd bet the the link is to a mobile site. Sorry about that. I was looking at the vario. Also my first choice is to bug in unless I am forced to leave for any reason.
Would this along with some purification tablets be sufficient for my water purification portion of my preps?
Katadyn Products Inc. » Select Country
From what I am reading the vario will make drinking water on its own with no purification tablets or boiling.
