I hate to post this with the other dog thread with Hanu losing his best friend, but it is truly a touching picture.
The picture is from a Navy SEAL's funeral who died in the August 6 crash of a Chinook helicopter. The picture is of his dog, Hawkeye, who never left his side, even during the...
Just got back into town from down there. We had a great time, but it was, like always, too short.
We went to the zoo, Montgomery Inn Boathouse, Newport Aquarium, and the museum complex. We wanted to do the Ride The Ducks tour on the river this morning, however, the river was shutdown as of...
Thanks for the help guys! I didn't know magazines needed to be unloaded, I just thought stored elsewhere away from the gun. That's good to know. Guess I will be stopping at the closest exit before and after entering/reentry.
The girlfriend and I are leaving on a weekend trip down to the Cincinnati area. We will be visiting some museums, the zoo, dinner, etc. However, we will be staying the night across the river in Florence, KY. I would like to be able to be able to have my XDm with me, at least for the hotel...
Theft is theft in the state of Indiana. It does not matter whether it is an $0.89 candy bar or $5,000.00 worth of groceries. Indiana does not have petty theft, however, some smaller amounts do get plea-bargained downed to conversion.
Going back to the original situation, my shed is directly...
Yes, but then again, this is a gun forum and most of us are "worried" to some extent. I would rather have it on my person and not need it than to have it somewhere else and then need it.
With casino security nowadays, there are cameras everywhere and I trust them enough to keep it in lockbox...
This is exactly why I didn't leave it in the car. By no means did I strike it rich, but if someone is watching me at the cashier cash out, what's to say something won't happen in between there and the car???
Plus, it was not my car and I'm not going to make my girlfriends dad feel...
"Get" was the wrong word. There were two guys originally at the front gate, the young one and the older one. The younger one told me which line to get in and the older one had to check me into the casino itself.
It really wasn't that bad of an experience, just uncomfortable as this was really...
Just got back from vacationing at the Dunes State Park with my girlfriends family and figured I would share my experience with the riverboat up in Michigan City.
My girlfriends dad and I got there at about 11:00 pm last Wednesday evening and I was carrying my XDm 40. We walked in and...
I think as of July 1, you are now able to transport it to the range without a LTCH. However, I wouldn't want to go anywhere else without a LTCH because in essence, then you would have a weapon in your car and would need a LTCH.
As usual, my girlfriend's family and I are heading up to Indiana Dunes State Park from July 22 to July 29. We usually go in June, however, plans have changed and we moved it back a month. We plan on going to the Porter County Fair and I was curious with the new laws in effect, does anyone know...
A buddy and I picked up a car seat holster at one of the 1500's that buckles around the bottom the cushion. When driving, it is right in between your legs, and when you need to "hide" it, you can rotate the strap to where the gun is rotated all the way under the seat.
The website is...
Kind of late, but there is nothing I dislike about my 40. I'm a somewhat bigger guy (6'3" and 210lbs) and I can conceal it well when I need/have to. I haven't shot the 9 but I'm sure I would love that also, especially with the round count it has. One thing that I do like about them is that to...
Just curious, but after reading another thread, and from lurking around for a while on the web, how do these people LEGALLY transport the firearm? I'm sure most of them do not a LTCH. Just kind of a random question that I was thinking of.
Thanks for the replies! She is shooting it this weekend so we will see how it goes for her. I wanted to take her to the range, but with my school/work schedule and finals week coming up, it would be a little while. I haven't even been able to make it for about the past 2 months :(
The museum is about 10 minutes south of the zoo. Thanks for the advice. I will look into some more hotels in those areas.
I remember going when I was younger, and my family really enjoyed it. Granted, that was ~15 years ago, so it could have changed. We have already been to the Indy Zoo...
