There's some pretty good info already in this thread, so I'll try not to repeat any of that. I will share some of my experience though.
Realize that in IT there is something of a customer service aspect to everything. Even if you're a network jockey, you're going to have to deal with people...
I'm off tonight, so it's been catch up on stuff around the house night. Just got the "office" cleaned up, and gonna get some gaming in here in a few minutes.
I work chat based tech support for a company named for a fruit. We're 24/7/365 worldwide, and nights definitely are less busy. On the 11p-8a shift it's much slower than days, and I'll never go back to phone support if I can help it. I get to sit here, in my office in my house, fix things all...
I'm in Franklin, so I'm about 30 miles from the transmitters in Indy and I pull things in fine with my antenna that I have in the attic. I get the major networks and PBS out of Bloomington, and I can't be happier. The only thing we do splurge on is season subscriptions for cable shows through...

After years of doing propane, we're considering going to charcoal. Can anyone recommend a good, small and portable charcoal grill? It's just the three of us, and while we grill a lot we don't need some huge honking grill, and I'd like something I can put in the garage once we're done so it...
The Sisters of Savings really grind my gears, as do any casino ads. I don't know what it is about a casino ad, but I immediately change the station if I hear one. But I'm mostly on my iPod, so it's not that big of a problem.
Our two newest addtions, Naga and Iroh. Both are Azorean Cattle Dog/American Bulldog mixes. Smart as a whip and hyper to boot.
Three out of 5 cats, doing what they do best. The two white and grey kittens are rescues that we got as brother and sister, and they fight like it too.
