should they teach shooting in girl scouts

As a former Girl Scout Co-Leader (Dads can't be leaders without female supervision) I agree that gun safety and shooting should be available to the girls. I got a bit of flack for teaching them how to sharpen a knife and basic fire starting. I did love the fact that we were Troop 357. Not many...

      Anyone remember Fetlas in Valpo?

I first discovered Fetla's working all over Northern Indiana repairing copiers. I bought a canoe there. Neat place and I was sorry to see them go.

      Recent Range Trip

I thought so but wasn't sure. That is some seriously nice wood on that stock.

      Recent Range Trip

What rifle is the young lady in the first pic shooting? I can see just enough of the stock that it looks like a thumbhole type. 10/22?

Who still uses a revolver for defense?

S&W 686 4" barrel usually OWB but it disappears IWB at 4 o'clock. Didn't think it would work but fits just fine.

      Plymouth Gun Store

Nice place although he thinks his guns are worth a bit more than book prices.

      S&W 22A

Definitely worth purchasing. I bought a 22S (all steel version) from Midwest years ago. We shoot it every range trip and it just keeps going bang.

      Marlin 1894

I am pretty sure that Guntown on 30 just west of Plymouth had a couple the last time I was in there a few weeks ago.

      Where did you OC today?

Forgot to report in on Tuesday but Plymouth Walmart, Gun Town gun shop on 30, Winamac range, met some great folks and got to shoot a couple guns that they had, Gun Connection in Rochester, and Baileys Hardware. Then home.

      Still feel a bit uncomfortable.

Not to be a wet blanket guys but the correct person to credit for "The Gun Is Civilization" is Marko Kloos aka the munchkin wrangler. As for the OP I know what you mean about feeling a bit strange but this too shall pass.

      Looking for opinions on a S&W 686

I have a 686-3 with the 4 inch barrel. Sweet shooter and easy to handle even with hot .357 loads. My wife likes to shoot .38 special out of it as she is recoil sensitive due to breaking her thumb years ago. Highly recommended.

I have only done one FTF deal arranged here on :ingo: the gun was exactly as pictured and came with extra stuff too:rockwoot:I gave the seller a very favorable review and would do business with him again. That said I can understand the OP being :xmad: I would be.

      .38 Shotshell for Home Defense?

The difference is that she at least has a fighting chance with the Glasers, the guy with the shot shells has none.
