Nice casts! Mind sharing your process? I have melted wheel weights in my Lyman pot, are those sufficient or do you use an alloy? Are you using the standard "Harbor Freighr powder coat method? How about gas checks? Still hesitating on trying this...
I wouldnt call BO a "recreational shooting" option. Ive never seen it under $16/box of 20, and that is only 125 gr target/basic. I heard a guy say hes running his Dillon (the most expensive one they make with a computer attached) and he says he can make it for .13/rd with his own castings...
Loading up some 124 gr.XTP for SD loads. This will be for a Ruger LC9s (3" barrel) as well as my trusty S&W SD9VE (4" barrel). I have heard +P might be best for the subcompact. I'm not looking for overpenetration as this is both HD and carry ammo, so the load will have both roles in both...
Same ergos as a Glock? I prefer Smith's, but the Gen 4 is somewhat palatable. I wonder if they're that close that it could use the "Glock Trainer" laser. Best price I've seen on a new G19 G4 was $450.
Looked in old threads a bit for this one, only saw a 2012 thread.
FMK looks like a Glock clone. They are selling an "optic ready", Vortex, etc 4'" barrel 9mm for $370 with a "fast" trigger.
Before anyone goes off on "cheap crap", I'd like to hear if they have any merits, and more...
CCI small rifle. IMR 4227. So far I've only run 125 gr. Speer TNT so can't speak to the subs or larger projectiles, but the recipe has been flawless and powerful.
No need for SBR. I run mine as a pistol, which can also be used to hunt w/5 round mag if memory serves. Maybe some want to carry it on their hip or in their car? Ha ha.
With the 10.5" barrel and a good cheek weld (no stock, that's SBR) at 50ft with the red dot I can knock pistol tree...
+1 to that. The cartridge isn't as powerful as rifle cartridges (it can use magnum pistol powders). No need for an HBar unless you're in combat against deer? I run an M4 profile and no worries.
Also, why 16"? You can get great velocity and power with 9" in this caliber if you want to try...
Kklingberg, Nice meeting you! Also CBHausen, KellyinAvon (2nd time) Bill, and Zombieman! Overall a great rally! Thanks for putting it together! Paging: Rhino... Did you circle?
With all the media focus on this event, all the voices expressing caution have the most value. There will be perceptions created that could be exploited by either side of the debate. The more aggressive people look or act, the more that will be exploited to make gun owners look loke a bunch...
+1 to OP request to buying one. Buy one. I carry mine every day and keep it locked in car while at work. Comes back to me at end of shift for drive home. Price: Great. Looks: Great to me, I like 2 tone. Function: Great, way north of thousand rounds through mine with no FTF, FTE. I use...
You might want to try Lenny Magill's trainer. He sells a product that has a break/reset if I remember right? Glock Store/"Combat Grip" is the Youtube video that exhibits some of the training tools.
