I have a appliance repair man who is awesome. Problem is I can't get the number for a few hours. Its rodgers appliance and I believe he is in portage or hobart. Highly recommended. If you can't find his number pm me and I will search for his number

is there a gun range i can shoot a shotgun ,not just slugs, and 7.62x39?

    This may help you.
NWI Ingo General Post - Page 3 - INGunOwners

The closest place to shoot your shotgun is in Griffith at the Izaak Walton League they have events open to the public for skeet shooting I think on Thrusday nights. Otherwise you need to become a member of the club but their "rifle/handgun" range is VERY, VERY limited. Read this:

Your next best bet is the DNR ranges which we have 4 in NWI. See 1st link above for those locations.

We have the next NWI MEET & SHOOT on 9/11/11 at Winamac DNR
    See here for more info:

    So, you going?

No that is too far away! I'm not going all the way to Kouts for bacon.
(Waiting for WD to tell me Winamac is further :D)

Little sis from Indy is coming up this weekend & SAT we are all getting together.

But don't worry we will have bcaon & pulled pork at the next MEET & SHOOT!

before we get the MODs upon us.

Anyone other than Kitty and WD have a canopy they can bring?
Not sure what the weather will be like yet.

    Sorry dad. :(

I have a suggestion. Maybe at the meet we will only be able to shoot on the 25 yard range, but if we want to address each other will have to walk down to the 50 yard. Since INGO so obviously objects to us being friendly. :ingo::dunno: ;)

And I thought the same thing about pork fest. If it was Whiting or Crown point I'd be all over that. But I'm not driving out to Kouts. Well maybe for a klan rally I always hear there's a big presence so Kouts kinds creeps me out.

Best be quiet jr or we will have you ONLY loading ammo "clips" at the next MEET & SHOOT while the real men get to shoot. ;)
As for the baconfest. Well it should be at a Hammond park so we can all OC an get arrested and they sue the pants off Hammond.;)

-1 for cabela MODs & Customer Service

    -1 for cabela's today.

With the room finally reserved for the Comprehensive Indiana Gun Course (https://www.indianagunowners.com/forums/tactics_and_training/162399-nwi_gun_law_course.html) I stopped by to talk to the managers at cabela's about being able to leave flyers at the gun counter, deli, and check-out lanes since we already have flyers at the events table.

Went to the deli first since this is where I started last time with good results. Janice actually remembered me from the last time we had the event. I told her I would call her back a week before the event to let her know many people we would have so they could prepare for the lunch crowd. She was very nice but told me she was not sure about the flyers so she called Trever (??SP??). She could not get a hold of trever so she sent me down to customer service to ask a MOD.

At customer service, Sue, was very helpful and attempted to call Trever who never answered but was in the store (somewhere). She then called some other MOD (a lady). After 10 mins the lady showed up and as I was explaining to her the event/flyers we were interrupted by an employee who said she had a rude customer and she was not dealing with them. So the lady MOD left to deal with the issue and never returned! I found out from Sue a bit later that there was no issue.Guess that MOD just did not want to deal with Me.

So Sue called Randy, another MOD, it took him a while but he finally came by with a cart full of stuff. I introduced myself and as I started to talk about the event he cut me off told me he was very busy and that he would take my information (I had it on one of the flyers in case they needed to contact me) and that he would give it to someone who would then maybe contact me back regarding the flyers.

I told him thank you and he left. I turned to Sue at the desk and told her Thank You for all her help and she smiled. As she turned to see Randy, he gave her a pissed off look and I heard her whisper to him "I did not know how to ask for help.". :faint:

Needless to say thank goodness for the general public that these 2 managers don't interact with the public that much I hope. They lack basic customer service! Sue did inform me that they have an events planner on site so perhaps I should call that person tomorrow.

So looks like I have some calling to do tomorrow as well. Plus wonder who this Trever guy was? Anyone know who the store manager is? Suspect that may be the best way to go.

Frankly I don't want to interact with either of those 2 MODs again.
