I've asked Sava in Plainfield to make a 4" hunting knife w/ a coccobolo handle. While I was there I p/u a Randall filet. He told me I'd have the hunting knife by the 2014 hunting season... Can't wait.

Well, I ended up with a chance to get on Dustin Turpin's list, and am fortunate that I was among the 25 lucky ones.
So a Turpin is now on my 2014 list of knives

I made my first purchases of 2014 just last night. I ordered an Estwing 14" camp axe in the special edition black w/ nylon sheath. And a Gerber folding shovel.

Just couple things I have been wanting to get for a while to pack on the ATV. No new or exciting knives yet.
