I'll never forget it. My dad bought me a Buck hunting knife. You know the fixed blade one with the black onyx handle that you see in horror movies.
I was probably 10 years old or so. I took it out behind our house with a couple buddies and decided to make a bow and arrow set out of small trees limbs. As I went to cut a notch in one of the arrows I split the wood and sliced my left index finger right over the knuckle and all the way to the bone. I remember it like it happened yesterday. I had to go to a hand specialist because I completely cut through the tendon. I was left handed up until that point and due to that injury learned to do everything right handed. So today I'm right handed in everything except for golf and baseball. Oh, and I've been collecting knives every since that day
