I had one of these bad boys...

But it didn't have quite the shine that the one is the picture has.

So was mine, 77 Caprice Classic, sliver with a vinyl top, it was a $500 beater that was losing its battle to cancer. I spent all summer doing body work and painted it black and put a set of baby moon hubcaps on it!

My first car was a 1970 Ford Maverick. I paid $500.00 for it. I tried to find a good picture on line, but I think they all must have rusted away.

1965 Impala SS, 327 4 barrel, 4 speed on the floor, white with black interior bucket seats was a big deal back then. $700 earned every dime my self, gas, tires, oil, insurance. No sugar daddies pick'n up the tab at my house.

Not mine but it sure looks like it.....

1983 Chevy Chevette, just like this, only red with red interior. It had a sunroof that was put in by amateurs, so it leaked like a sieve. During rain, or soon after, left turns would soak the passenger, right turns would soak me. Unfortunately, if you were leaning back in the seat, it'd be a stream right to the crotch, leaving a rather awkward wet spot.

I clipped a parking barrier (2" iron pipe sitting a few inches out of the ground) and fragged the front air dam while at my Grandmother's in Louisiana. Drove for a few days then grabbed a hacksaw and cut it the rest of the way off. Drove it into the summer and traded it off.

My first car was a '72 Mustang Mach I, bought it when I was 14 and started rebuilding it. But before I could drive I found a buyer for it, I sold it and used the money to buy a '84 Camaro.

No pics, but mine was a primo 1959 ford convertible light blue with a white top. It had a hopped up 289 with the 3speed moved from the column to the floor on a hurst mystery shifter. this was back in 1965

My first was a 1985 Nissan pick up.
A family friend gave it to me after I worked on his farm for the summer.
    Looked like this one

The first nice car I bought with my cash was a 1994 Thunderbird. I paid $6,000 for it in 1997.

First car was a 1955 Chevrolet Belair. Had a 283 in it...had it punched to 301. Put cut out headers on it and converted 3 speed shifter to the floor. Ran a Rochester dual quad set up on it but I couldn't afford the gas...even at 25 cents per gallon as it was a daily runner. So I traded manifolds and then ran a Holly double pumper. Sold it in order to have enough money for college tuition.
First new car after college was a 68 goat with a 400 C.I. engine. Ran a Hydramatic with a B&M shift kit in it. Almost unbeatable at street racing.....Miss that car ,but it had a habit of blowing head gaskets. so only kept it for 3yrs.

I had a 1969 Chevy Impala for my first car. It had a 400 4 barrel engine with a really sucky transmission. Reverse was okay, but it took up to 30 seconds before to it would engage into drive.

I have a 96 firebird. its a work in progress. my uncle bought it as a roller for $500, and we put a new-ish engine in it, and then I bought it off of him for $1000. since then its been through a lot. I put it into a guardrail about 6 months after I got it. I just got done putting a manual transmission in it to replace the failing auto.

200 horsepower has gotten me in a bit of trouble with the wonderful law enforcement officers in various locations. only one was really wonderful though. the rest weren't.

My first car was a '91 Geo Storm. I actually wish I still had it as a beater. It ran forever, got decent mileage, and was actually a fun little car. It was that hideous teal green color that was so popular back then.
