Wasn't the original criteria for being able to vote is that you had to own land? The real issue is EDUCATION, look how our children are being raised. Look at the public school system, look at what they are taught from day one, they are taught tolerance of everyone their parents say is wrong, they are taught that being wrong is ok, they are not "left behind" just cuz they cannot read or write. They get through school because they can play basketball. They are taught praise songs for our president. The real issue is the STUPID voter. There are people on gov't assistance that hate it, they vote republican, but at this time they have no other choice, gov't assistance is critical, we should be there for someone else, but not indefinitely, if you truely need help then yes our gov't should be there, i would say that over 90% of people on gov't assistance dont really need it, but they take it because they can get it. The real problem is dumb people. If you are taught that your SUV will kill little timmy the rabit and that gays and muslims are alright while your bible is wrong, then how do you think that is going to turn out? Its really simple. Stupid people make stupid decisions, and evil people will take advantage of that and try to add more stupid people to their voter base to expand their power. Its been done over and over and over. Fix education, fix the problem. But how will that ever happen? Well indiana is slowly moving that way with vouchers and giving parents choices, they need to have a complete voucher system where any kid can go to any school the parents chose, public or private, the public school system as we know it would disappear and the education of our kids would increase exponentially through private schools competing to get the money, and the only way to get that money is to be better than the next school. which would force every school to be better. simple as that.
