I used to carry a Norinco 1911a1 until I sold it and got an FEG pjk-9hp which I carried for years until I traded it off. Pamela Jane was a nice piece.. I’ll occasionally carry a G17 during winter but have retired it for the most part because I don’t want to put excess wear on the og pencil barrel or accidentally damage the frame somehow by bumping into a door knob or any random object that might possibly scratch or chip the polymer.
I’ve still got a Norinco and a Hi power just not the same ones I used to carry. They stay in the safe while the baby g26 accompanies my
side everywhere else any other time of year.
While mushroom hunting I carry a S&W model 19-3 loaded with 158gr hydra shoks.
I carry a S&W 329PD or Glock 40 when in the woods. I typically EDC my Glock 26, but sometimes carry the Glock 17 when I feel I might need the extra round count.
My EDC is a 1903 Hammerless Colt but if I think I might need more gun I carry a 2011 STI 10mm 6" barrel IWB. The STI was my big carry till my hands started hurting from shooting. Before that it was a 1911 Government .45 ACP. all carried in Kramer IWB. I carried a 1911 for about 60+ years.
Carry this in the winter. OWB (ovbiously) but a sweatshirt and carhartt keep it hidden. Its a G19, threaded barrel, TLR2. Its not exactly a “big gun” but its a bulky package.
G20 most days. G36 if I want to be discreet, and an LCP when I am not “allowed” to carry. Well, that one is usually carried as a deep concealment all other times anyway.
