    some before & afters

I had fun with this project. Thankfully the gun needed no correcting - just cleaning & refreshing. I got lucky finding the stocks, but they were not in presentation condition so those were stripped & refinished. Didn’t even need sandpaper - scratches didn’t reach the wood, just the finish. There was only had a small dent that steamed right out.

I love it, but we had some unexpected bills so that’s why it’s in the classifieds. that’s the way it goes lol

Thursday evening the got together with couple of forum members and we had a very interesting discussion about Skeeter Skelton, revolvers, casting, hand loading and lever rifles. We also enjoyed a few sips of one of Mr. Skelton’s favorite bourbons, Henry McKenna.

The S&W revolvers pictured are, from top to bottom: A Model 28-2, a pre Model 28 Highway Patrolman and a Second Model Hand Ejector in 44 Special. All of them are outfitted with elk antler grips.

Yes I have a pair of Taurus Judges.
Why well because. And what better reason does a guy need. I keep one in my couch “glove box” and the other is in my work van emergency bag I call it my get me home bag. Before anyone asks no it’s not the only hand gun I have with me to get me home my 365 goes in there every morning and my naa 22 mag is always on me. I like to think I’m covered to make it home lol
