Ruger single six 5.5" with 22lr cylinder. It's light enough to carry on extended hikes. Killed a lot of varmints with that gun.

For the most part the CZ 75 .40 is always on me. Otherwise I carry a lever action 22 mag that was my grandfathers. Hate to think how many miles it has or how many's been down the pipe, but it stillo shoots like a champ.

I'm split on this one: I usually pick between one of the two following depending on mood and exactly what kind of woods hike I'm going into.. Sig P226 9mm or my Taurus 44Mag:draw:

Single Six is my prefered carry as well. Never killed a varmint with mine, but I just shot up a bunch of juicy, green walnuts today!

I've had the same rig for years. A 7.5 inch Ruger Super Single-Six with a N frame speedloader case with the .22 mag cylinder on one side and a plastic film container with .22 mag ammo in the other. There's 20 loops for the assortment of .22RF ammo and a filet knife offside. It's been a great fishing gun and never in the way. I also pack a SW 642 with grip laser in my pocket as a "just in case" loaded with Winchester .38 spl 110 gr +P+ loads. Never any problems...Never any complaints.........

My Glock 22 for the most part, but it used to be the Colt Trooper MKIII in .22 Mag or the Buckmark. My 10/22 usually goes along as well.

I have a henry golden boy lever action 22lr. I love to plink around the woods with it. Its a great shooting gun. Its got a really smooth action to it as well. However, I just also bought a marlin 30-30 lever action rifle too. I really like shooting that gun also.
