    Two quotes come to mind.

"If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace." -- Tom Paine, 1776

"Don’t fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here." -- Captain John Parker, 1775

Pretty much sums up my feelings.

We'll not bury our guns, try to claim we lost them, or hide them. My wife, son and I have made the decision to fight. Hopefully we'll have time to run and meet up with other folks before the knock on the door. If not, after we fall there will be fewer thugs and traitors left to knock on someone else's door. Death, to us, only means getting to heaven sooner than we thought we would.

I agree with Joe. My dad always talks about burying our guns and I always reply with the same line: "If it's time to bury them then it's time to use them." I'm sorry but if any amount of soldiers come knocking on my door asking for my guns, they will either find an empty house or get a face full of lead, or maybe just a polite no thank you if society hasn't completely broken down yet.

What if you were killed and they werent? That would leave them alone without your leadership and that would be the worst thing to me. I trust God to deliver me and my family out of the situation one way or another but if I choose to lead my family to death because of a carnal hunk of metal then I see it as their blood would be on my hands. Not bashing just my opinion.

I don't think there are 15 armed soldiers stupid enough to go knocking on doors asking for your guns.

+1 Having just got of the military I cant say that anybody I served with would go that far. Tactically it is insane to enter an area in which you have no idea who is hostile and who is armed. Cops in my area wont even enter some rough areas without massive support due to the risks to their safety and in the OP scenario even good law abiding peaceful citizens would get aggressive and arm themselves which put the cops/military at the disadvantage.

Sorry guys! I don't believe that they will come and knock at our doors. If they take the guns it will be while people are at work or away. You will come home and the door will be open and the gun safe missing. You will have the gun and ammo you have on you when you left the house. They won't want the publicity of having to shoot you in the door. They will want the press conference to show what lunatic needs this many guns and this much ammo.

    Just my :twocents:

While I don't think anyone can be 100% sure on what they will do, it does make sense to think about it and plan. Having said that, my plan is to stand my ground and fight. Yes, I realize that without intervention from above, I will lose; but, at 57, I've had a good life and if the Lord makes that my time, then so be it. -- Greg

Then they would carry on with the plan.

You do know it's not for a hunk of metal, right?

if our economy fails or disaster strikes or government goes too far in upsetting the masses, they will knock on your door to collect your guns before you can even use them.

In my household, this will be hard to do. After all, if (when) the economy does fail, I will be armed constantly with 24 hr watches around the property.

...I trust God to deliver me and my family out of the situation one way or another...

    Reminds me of this:

There was an old man sitting on his porch watching the rain fall. Pretty soon the water was coming over the porch and into the house.

The old man was still sitting there when a rescue boat came and the people on board said, “You can’t stay here you have to come with us.”

The old man replied, “No, God will save me.” So the boat left.

A little while later the water was up to the second floor, and another rescue boat came, and again told the old man he had to come with them.

The old man again replied, “God will save me.” So the boat left him again.

An hour later the water was up to the roof and a rescue helicopter approached the old man, and tried to get him to come with them.

Again the old man refused to leave stating that, “God will save him.” So the helicopter left.

Soon after, the man drowns and goes to heaven, and when he sees God he asks him, “Why didn’t you save me?”

God replied, “You idiot, I tried. I sent two boats and a helicopter after you!!”

I accepted death, and by all odds should have died in a sh***y place called afghanistan, a while ago, so the way i look at it is im living on borowed time. I make EVERY day count. and I WILL NOT live to see my country perish at the hands of domestic criminals and traitors!

if they ever do this, they will try to use our own laws and constitution against us to make us look like the criminals. we will be climbing up hill. Remember the British soldiers who lived in the colonies still killed their brothers, and the same is true in the civil war. you will have some that wont fight, but the majority i believe will choose a side and then it will be on like donkey kong!!

Stack up the bodies at the front door and put out a sign next to the pile saying, "FREE. Take One." The confiscating types just hate to see people having fun.
