I bought a S&W Sigma .40 when I turned 18, horrible! I could only hit the broad side of a barn from inside! I have handled quite a few firearms including those made by the lowest bidder in the 3rd world, and it is still the worst. On the bright side I sold it for more than I payed and bought a west German Sig P220 that I still carry.

That's the best description of a sigma I've ever read. Thanks for the laugh, I needed it.

Came home on leave in 1981 and purchased a S&W Mdl 13 in .357 Mag. It was a Blue 4" square butt with pachmeyer grips. Same configuration as what my Father carried as a detective for the Dayton Police Department. Still have it.

    Dan Wesson .357

Back in 1983 I purchase a new S/S Dan Wesson .357 with a 6" vented heavy barrel. It looked weird but shot like a dream. For my birthday that year my girlfriend bought me a Lyman press, RCBS scales, and a few other items. 25 years later, we are still going strong and I still have the girl, the gear, but not the Dan Wesson.

Like A. Ramon above, I had a Jennings, mine was a .380. It was all the money I had available for a gun at the time. What a turd! If only I had known more about looking at decent used guns. Oh well.

    GLOCK 23 .40cal

i found this as a good deal used, low round count with night sights and one 13 rd mag and two 10 round mags. so far so good about 300 rounds thru at the range getting better everytime.
