1969 Mustang. Lot of great memories in that car.

92' Chevy Caprice interceptor with the vette LT1 motor and tranny. OMG I wish I'd held onto it.

Even though this is a necro-thread, being a 9C1 caprice guy, posts like these drive me nuts. Unless you swapped in a corvette lt1 it did not come with it. NO Caprice ever came with a corvette lt1. 91-93 "bathtub" caprice came with a 205hp TBI 5.7l V8. The 9c1 package (commonly mis-named interceptor) used the 700R4 with full throttle lockup for the torque converter, no speed limiter, huge radiator and heavy duty cooling, special shocks, springs and sway bars. All came with 235/60R15 Goodyear gt+4 tires. 91-92 with the half rear wheel wells created lift above 90mph and by 125mph would pull the rear to the top of the shock travel. Don't ask how I know ;).

94-96 got iron headed lt1 engines rated at 260hp. The baby lt1, L99, was a small bore iron headed lt1 that made 200hp from 4.3l v8.

Common upgrade for the impala as was to use 9c1 shocks and springs. The original imp ss used them with the 17x8, 255/50R17 BFF comp t/a but the engineers said it was too stiff of a ride.

Mycorrhiza car was a 1980 Buick park ave diesel. Injector pump died 2 weeks before my 16 th birthday. Mom and dad gave me their 1984 ford tempo 5-spd. I replaced that at 18 with my 1989 9C1 caprice.

    Now that's a beauty!

Wish I had one of those then and now. Unfortunately my first car was a piece of :poop: '89 Plymouth Acclaim with with no A/C and a bright red interior.

Some cool "first cars" mentioned! Mine was a 1974 (IIRC) Ford Maverick, I bought it off my aunt and uncle. It was a goldish color with a brown/gold interior. My other brother's first car was a Mustang but I cannot remember the year. I don't even know what miguel's first car was.

1972 Ford F250 Longbed, with a 390 w/4 barrel. That big truck could sure SCREAM! The engine was out of a 1964 Galaxy 500 convertible (a HUGE car).

My first was a 1980 ford thunderbird that my older sister and her husband gave me. They had hit a deer with it and the motor needed rebuilt. I did all the work myself, under the supervision of the local mechanic I had been hanging around. Man that car would run!!!
