I think its all personal preference! The AR platform has so much to offer when it comes to accessories! Thats whats cool about it!

Sky's the limit, add what you like-
All I would suggest is that you buy quality accessories and optics-
Trust me, Ive done the cheap route and you actually end up spending more in the long run constantly replacing items.

    Check out AR15.com!
    Especially their picture threads!
I do from time to time to get ideas! Plus, AR Porn is :rockwoot:

Just bought a new stag model 2. Wanted some opinions on how I should set it up. Thanks

It's all personal preference. Most people I see online have super red dot sights with cowitnessing flip up iron sights and all those goodies. On my M4gery I'm a nerd I guess, because all I did was put a 2-7x burris fullfield II ballistic plex scope on it for optics. I free floated the barrel by using a daniel defense Omega 7 forend. I put another DD Omega rail on a 20" Hbar trying to make it look like what I used to carry back in the day and used another Burris Fullfield ballistic plex, but this time in 3-9x.

If the trigger is rough, heavy gritty, I'll switch it out with a rock river arms 2 stage match, because they're good and cheap.

If the barrel isn't free floated, I put something on there that will. Just because it's an AR doesn't mean that it can't get a little more accurate with each improvement.

If it's a collapsable stock I like putting on those cheap little saddles on them and for whatever reason it's so much more of a comfortable fit for me.

As far as slings, I like the two point type of slings, but that's subject to preference also.

I like to have a bipod on my rifles, so I put them on there as well.

Just make sure you're happy with what you get. Don't just buy something because some tacticool self appointed authority told you to do so. It's real easy to get caught up in the goodies that go on an AR instead of actually getting out and shooting it.

    This is just my opinion.

    1. Sling
    2. Optics
    3. Broomstick
    4. Light
    5. Bi-pod if you plan on doing any long range shooting.

I like to keep things simple.

Awesome. It came with a bunch of NCSTAR accessories, red dot and grip, however I was told that it is a pretty terrible company and to upgrade asap.

i thought about putting optics on my ar, but decided to keep it simple with iron flip up sight. i just changed the handguard and added a vg and a couple of pmags. my eyesights pretty good so the irons are more than adequate. stick to american made accessories, and avoid stuff made in china. i bought a nc star rear a2 iron sight(got home, closer inspection, sight was canted) from pop guns, went back the same day to exchange and payed the $90 difference for a GG&G...
