I want one I can use solely with my Ceiner kit.

    Any links would be appreciated.

A dedicated AR for use with a Ceiner kit seems kinda silly. The twist rate in an AR is not really right for 22lr so you'll never really get any accuracy with it and it tends to chew up lead making a mess of your gas system. You could get a dedicated 22lr upper way cheaper than building a whole rifle to use a $200 kit...

Without looking, the last I remember a Spikes dedicated upper costing was about $600. If I can find an off brand AR to use for that price, why not? I'm not really concerned about twists and turns, as the Ceiner does well enough on it's own for plinking. I understand the argument, but I'm just not sure it is necessary for my intentions. The other option I have is to trade the Ceiner towards the cost of one of the dedicated .22lr variants like the M&P22. Not real sure I want to do that though.

That leads to another question...which one of those .22s used the Black Dog mags?

CMMG Bargin bin seems to the the cheapest whole AR.

:yesway:Thanks for that info. That's what I'm talking about. Just for shooting .22lr, it would be perfect, and if the need ever arose, it can be converted back to .223 very quickly.

Think it is cheaper to just buy a completed ar15 in 22lr. I to have been looking into this and from what I have found the uppers are as much as the completed 22lr.
