Water. More water and more water on top of that. Finally close to where we want to be and put of space.
Can goods. Dry goods and rotated the shelves.
    More fuel.
    More wood.
Took the SIL/daughter to the range and did some hand gun drills.

    so true on the water.
in my house we go through a case of bottled water per week.
but we buy 2 per week at the grocery store...

With all the G-babys running amok we were going through 2 flats a week. It has settled down to 1 and will hold there through the winter. We pick up 2 to 3 40 bottle flats a week at sams.
We have 40 1 gallon jugs of distilled water for cooking/hygiene and that is not enough.
Water will be the most critical issue depending on weather in a SHTF situation.

You guys are on the right track with getting water put up. I keep 4 aquatainer 7gallon jugs filled up at all times. I'm fortunate that I have a river behind my place that's an easy walk so unless the river ever completely empties I'm solid as long as I've got my berkey.

My latest prep is a truck. I've been wishing/wanting/needing a truck for a while now and todays the day. With a family of 5 I needed more room so I went with a crew cab, and the hardest thing about the crew cab is finding one that doesn't have the short short 5' bed. I finally found my truck that has a short bed that can still get some work done so that's what I've got.

I debated long and hard about what to put over the bed of the truck, should it be a hard cab or a vinyl cover, or one of the hard covers made of of multiple panels. I went with the hard panel type because if the tailgate is locked then everything is secure, or as relatively secure as a guy could hope for.

With the vehicle in mind I purchased a Yeasu 2900R radio to keep in touch with some like minded folks. I need to work on learning all that ham radio witchcraft so that I can some day get my license.

I'm also working on fuel storage which will be more critical with this gas guzzler. My intent is going to be to maintain enough fuel for one full fill up and hopefully a second. There's three kids in the house 5 and under so keeping them out of the stacked up gas cans is going to be my big concern. I bought one nato fuel can from one source that was supposed to be the best out there, but I'm not all that impressed with it. I'm going to buy another nato fuel can from another source that's clearly made differently and see if that'll meet my expectations.

Besides the usual medical kit, get home bag, and a few tools I'm going to be done outfitting the truck. If anyone has any suggestions go ahead and let me know.

Ordered some stuff for my radio, and put it all in one place.

I used a Condor EMT pouch. It has a pen/paper. Radio charging dock and power supply. 2x4 AA carriers. 12v car adapter. Radio (uv5r) w/extended battery. Stock battery. AA battery. Baofeng external microphone. Stock antenna. Nagoya 771 antenna and Nagoya UT-108 mag mount antenna. The antennas are stored in the right end of the bag, curved into the pocket.

It makes a nice grab and go comms bag and everything is in one place if I need to throw one to a friend.

Made some "Red Menace". It's my version of homemade red wine with Alcotec turbo yeast. I'll use it as a trade good, or morale booster.:)

I need to look at one of those stoves.
We have 2 propane Coleman stoves but propane has its limits.

I never would have thought of using a med pouch for a radio, but I really like what you did there. Right now I have a sustain mentioned pouch with everything just thrown into it. I may be switching my setup now.

Been splitting wood like crazy. I'm determined to have twice as much wood this year as last year.

Got several more dead ash trees to take down next weekend with my son.

My goal is X'2 last years as well. I am way past chopping/cutting/splitting. Found good wood for $60.00 a rick.

I think the price of firewood will be relatively low for a good while. So many Ash trees biting the dust. I was doing a thing at the Indpls airport a couple weeks ago and they had a contractor taking down dozens of good sized dead and dying ashes.

    Boring beetles????

We pulled all our wood out of the sisters place. They had a tractor/splitter combo and we all had saws. BIL sold the tractor. He just turned 60 and has some small health issues and I am 64 and just over it. We both are buying wood this year.

There is room for a couple more batteries and a few other items as well. It worked out pretty well.

I definitely have some areas I am lacking in, but make up for it in other areas. :):
