I carry a sig sauer 1911 and a sig sp2022. Not at the same time of course lol. I love the 1911 frame as well and want to get a compact 1911 at some point too.
Depends on how I am dressed most of the time it is either a XDSC9 in a crossbreed or a S&W 340PD in a pocket holster. When I am out hunting I carry a S&W 625 mountain gun in 45 colt.
I carry three different guns depending on my activities. My favorite currently is the Sig P938 as it can be carried as a pocket pistol with the right holster. A close second is my Ruger LC9 because of its ergonomics but am not otherwise a big fan of DAO systems. And at times I carry a Taurus PT-111 Pro because it can hold 12+1 rounds and weighs under 19 oz. unloaded. All three have been reliable. Do not quite like the "blockness" of the Taurus but like the SA/DA action and the decent trigger. The Taurus is a surprisingly well made weapon.
S &W 638 IWB and an LCP380 in my back pocket. .38 speed strip and an extra magazine for the LCP in a "cell phone" case. If you want my wallet, I can produce it or maybe a "surprise" in short order. Otherwise I will use the 638.
In and about town: H&K p7 b grade IWB
In the country, where I try to stay: Ruger Vaquero 4 5/8 bbl. in .44 mag (loaded w/ .44 special, unless deer season) OWB
