I've been working on loading some 69 gr. SMK with 26.0gr of varget. Next ,i'll be setting up for some 55gr. Sierra gamekings. Not sure on load yet.

Anyone else used these bullets and have a good place to start with varget? Sierra gameking bullets

dj, I use that weight but not that make and my load for it isn't with Varget BUT, the other load is one of my all time favorites for my DPMS 20" heavy barrel A3-AR. It has a 1:9" twist and that load is a tack driver in my firearm!

Sorry I can't help with the other though!

358 Enterkin Mag. 300 Weatherby blown out to 35 caliber with a different shoulder angle. Loaded with 76 grains of 4064 and 225gr Nosler partitions gets 3000 fps. Not too bad. I am going to try the Accubond next.

Have to look that cartridge up. Are they deer legal here? That would be a stomper fo' sho'!

I shoot the 225gr Accubond in a .358/25 WSSM Encore. I got the barrel from Just Hunt in Wabash and they are really nice folks to deal with. The twist rate is a bit slow, 1:14" so you have to run those puppies above 2500fps to get them to stabilize. Once you do though, they are a sub MOA bullet for sure!

Broom_jm turned me on to Nosler's new Accubond, the 200gr last week and I have some ordered. Can't wait to get them!

Got any pictures of that round?

I like 25.5gr Varget under my 69 Sierra's. Actually use 26 with my 60gr V-max, so 26 might not be a bad starting place for your 55 game kings.

As for the post topic, I shot some of my first .300 Blackout loads today. Missed my mark with the 208's as I was 300FPS above target velocity, but had great resuts with some 125gr Nosler Hollow Points. 2500FPS and they were down right explosive againts milk jugs and pop cans full of water.

I shot about 250 rounds of one of my older loads today ... 9 mm 147 gr TRN from Rainier with 5.4 gr of Accurate #5 ... I chrono'd them a while ago at ~950 fps (power factor ~140) ... That's a nice accurate load but I have since switched to Berry's 124 gr for my 9 mm IDPA loads (With 6gr. A#5 for 1050 fps/130 PF). Berry's seems to have much less variance in the chrono'd velocities than loads with Rainier's.

My oldest with "her" 686. I also tested some loads with it. Too bad we shot the target up, because it was smoking accurate. 130 grain LWSC's over 4.5 grain of Tightgroup with a CCI 550 primer. Going to load a few hundred of them this week.

I had family visit today, so I didn't get any shooting done or any loads worked up. I did, however, get about 750 mixed rounds of 38 special and 357 deprimed and resized.
