That is an MP 452-200 made by Miha Prevec. The pic below is with the round pins installed.

You can see his handiwork here - Mp-molds

I forgot to mention that the pins on these moulds are reversible to allow casting solid as well as hollow point boolits for the benefit of those unfamiliar with this design.

Took my Rem 700 .308 out today. I'm pretty happy for never having used a scope before. Went to Roush Lake range, just shy of 70 degrees and 21mph SW wind to fight with. Used Federal Eagle 150grain and Win X 150grain. My rifle likes the Win X much better. I'll try another brand or two and see what really works best for me. Blew through 60 rounds today, had fun. :)

Thursday my brother and I went to Bullseye in Kokomo and hurled a couple hundred rounds of cast lead projectiles out of our 1911's at the hapless paper targets 15 feet away, it was old codgers day at the range.
Yesterday I cast up a few boolits for my .308 bolt gun, an Ishapore-Enfield by Gibbs Rifle Co. The mould is a Lyman 311041 gas checked design which drops 173 grainers.

what do you put under those? My Lee mold drops mine at about 172gr. I'm preparing to work up two different recipes. One with Varget, and the other with either H110 or Unique. I'm not sure if I really care about cat-sneeze loads, but I'm gonna give it a shot anyway.

These I load with 42 grains of Varget. The groupings are good but I have yet to run them through the chrony, I expect they should be somewhere around 2300 fps. I have an outing planned in a couple of weeks and can chrony them at that time and give you the results.

Well, last night, I spent a bit of time making some 40S&W loads. They were 155gr PTC and fueled by a maximum load of Longshot.

I'll tell you this, that stuff is amazing. The last time I went out with this load, my son's duty gun, a S&W M&P, ate them up like crazy! Seriously! My Sig P250 like them pretty well too.
His M&P liked them so well, I bought one today! Now, I am an owner of a brand new S&W M&P in 40S&W. Oh, yeah, I forgot to say this too: I ordered a 357 Sig barrel for it as well! Another $80. Then, I will have two guns in one, like my Sig P250 is. It has both barrels but is the compact size. The M&P is full size.

Headed to the range and shot about 200 rounds through it. Worked pretty well!

    Pleasantly impressed!

Just put together some test loads in 308 Winchester, using H4895 under 155gr A-Max bullets. The weather is ideal for shooting today so I'm really hoping to get some good information on these. :)

UPDATE: Wife and daughter shot the 380ACP, son shot the 9mm Luger. Then, he shot his 308 and I shot my 270. It was a good day. :)

Just started working up my 10mm "varmint" loads. I am using my spent brass from my carry ammo that I just got through testing, CCI LP Mag. primers, and 180gr XTPs. I am working up with Alliant blue dot and 2400 powder. I hope to get out and test them tomorrow after work.

Went out in the yard. Shot the Mark III 22/45. Tore ligment in my leg last week. So I had to sit in a metal lawn chair to shoot. Interesting change from standing.

Just before dark, I shot a Remington 700 BDL in .223. Shot at 130 yards at hanging Bobcat Steel targets. Only a few rounds, just for fun.

I've recently worked up a very long cartridge (just a few thousandth shy of the lands). The cases were fire formed in that rifle and had only been neck sized. Was shooting 55 grain Hornady V-Max bullets.

They shot very well! I love seeing the impact hole show up right where I was aiming! (Doesn't always work that way, but these rounds are sweet!)

I just finished the final count of our range day:

    30-06 (Garand) 96 rds
    .30 Carbine 60 rds
    5.56 M855 ball 210 rds
    5.56 M193 ball 210 rds
    .45 ACP 480 rds
    9mm 200 rds
    .45 Colt 6 rds (A little competition shooting:D)
    .380 ACP 50 rds

There is no sense in even trying to figure out how much .22 we shot.
Any day we get to put rounds down-range is a good day indeed.

I had the day off work so I got to shoot these. The load data I was using was for NON Mag primers so I started out very low. Test gun: Stock Glock 20 with a 6.6 Lone Wolf barrel. Blue dot charge weights of 8.8, 9.4, 9.9, 10.5, and 11 grains all performed great. 2400 charge weights of 10.2, 10.9, 11.5, 12.2, and 12.8 also performed great.

One odd thing though, one 11.5 and one 12.8 failed to eject. Now I'm not talking about a stovepipe, they were still half in the chamber. This very well could have been my fault, I don't know. (photo is a recreated representation of what happened)
