A man my age who is still the leader of two seminal bands, Camper Van Beethoven and Cracker, and has a solo career...Says he "burns a tire every year to celebrate earth day"....So here is a retrospective of the clips I watched last night...A trip down memory lane....I was about 21 the first time I heard Camper Van Beethoven and have been a fan these last 30 years...

Here is an INGO tribute to David Lowery...Arguably the most influential musician you have never heard of...Probably because he says things like "I burn a tire every year to celebrate earth day.."

Don't feel bad...I spent 10 years going "Man...That dude from Cracker reminds me of that dude in Camper Van Beethoven.." It never clicked because both bands were still going strong...Kind of weird huh?

Mike is an institution. I used to own the house south of the one he grew up in and I have spent some time in the vid. I have not been there since they tore out the wall where the dart boards were and opened up that room. It looks weird and clean from the street now.
