Like bigcat1971 said, to answer the question, we lost control of the government a long time ago. They forget it is a government of the people, for the people and by the people.

Somehow they think that there are reasonable restrictions in violation of the constitution which mandates how the government is always to be by the people. They destroy many of the so-called "Bill of Rights" by forcing us to go through mandatory checkpoints to prove our innocence, be it seat belt or body scan at the airport.

Some states say they can reasonably restrict the second amendment, so what is to keep them from reasonably restricting the first? Telling the media what they can and cannot print or air since it is a "reasonable restriction"? Can the state also then restrict religion? By saying the constitution only applies to the feds, can states then reasonably restrict religion??? They "reasonably restrict" firearms!!!

All levels of government have forgotten that this whole country is set up as people rule. Some find it hard to imagine people ruling, and not a central King, Pharaoh, Monarch, Tsar, Imperial Ruler, or what have you. Governors and the president seem to forget that they answer to us, not the other way around.

I am hoping this next election, including the primaries, send a big message that We the People have had enough and we are not going to take it anymore.

The problem with most elections you are typically voting which one will do the least harm based upon their campaign lies. Another problem is that only the affluent has a chance of winning an election.
