I dare say 100% of publicly trade companies are veteran owned.

That being said, I'd hire him over someone else if everything is equal. I patronize shops with the Jesus fish or a cross when possible too.

    This is true-
I have known a lot of Nam Vets and the braggers (if they even served) were usually latrine specialists or cooks at best. :xmad:

Also, it will depend on the branch. If I were to find out they were Puddle Pirates or Flyboys, I would have them just move along. Grunts and jarheads are OK but I'd need to be in a great mood to be eating from any squid.
    WOW!

If one views a veteran as someone who is more likely to be regimented in their processes, disciplined, prompt, honest, etc. as I do, I see no problem with them using those years of service to their advantage after they're out.

Personally it's on a case by case basis whether or not that "___________ Owned" logo on their truck carries any weight. I know a kid that never made it on the bus to boot camp but since he tried and was denied he considers himself a Navy veteran along with his veteran father. Their thinking is that Sam rejected his advances so it's not his fault they didn't take him so he is constantly telling people he's a vet! Same parent claims to be a major Christian but I can't tell you how many people he's ****ed over since I've known him. Of course it was only after he prayed on it the night before so that makes it o.k. I also know several people that say it's important to go to the "right" church if you want to succeed in business.

    Hypocrites all!:noway:
