Election denier blinken confirmed. He clearly hates democracy.
Gotta take advantage of this last last minute opportunity for this administration to launder a few trillion more through the military industrial complex via a proxy war acting like they're fighting exactly what they're trying to implement here. It's ****ing brilliant.

Europe is at war. The Middle East is at war. China is sabre rattling with Taiwan. The norks are looking to stir stuff up. Putin is getting assassins in trade for journalists AFTER we traded the Merchant of Death for one America hating WNBA player (worst trade since Tony Perez for Woody Fryman, possibly since Nolan Ryan for Jim Fergosi.) South America is a continent where there WAS no war.

So Venezuela seems to have dropped off the news cycle after Friday morning.

What is going on? Have the "men with the guns" continued to side with Maduro, or are they aligning with the people?

Translated post from X from a little while ago.
"URGENT: This is the update of the number of murdered by the dictatorship of Nicolás Maduro in Venezuela. There would be 20 dead and 835 arrested in almost a week of protests. Mostly the shots are to the neck and head. Maduro must be overthrown as genocidal!"

Jamie Raskin Calls Socialist Venezuelan Dictator Maduro ‘Right-Wing,’ Earns Ridicule.

Representative Jamie Raskin (D., Md.) fired off a post on X Friday in which he characterized socialist Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro as “right-wing” a day after the United States recognized opposition candidate Edmundo González as the rightful winner of Venezuela’s presidential election.

“The democratic world must stand up for the rule of law in Venezuela and oppose Maduro’s assault on the electoral process and free speech,” Raskin wrote. “The right-wing attack on democratic institutions anywhere is a threat to freedom everywhere.”

Maduro has indeed subverted the electoral process and cracked down on dissent. But it was Raskin’s claim that the avowed Marxist is “right-wing” that made him the butt of countless jokes on the social-media platform.

National Review‘s Dan McLaughlin, after seeing Raskin’s post, wrote, “Oh, those right-wing [checks notes] socialists,” later arguing that Raskin understands Maduro’s political leanings but “thinks his followers are gullible fools.”

Looks like he's trying to equate Trump and what happened on J6 with Maduro in the current Venezuelan election in that second paragraph. Seems to be the insinuation to me that both are equal threats to democracy.
