UziButton Goes to the Zoo (A Pictorial Review)

A number of weeks ago I made a trip the the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago. It has a rather diverse selection of animals and is located off Lake Shore Drive just minutes north of downtown Chicago, IL and is free to the public.

This is what it looked like...

The Chicago cityscape is visible from the entrance of the zoo...

If you visit, make sure you get your picture taken by the lion statue.

Monkey.

Zebra.

Bug-eyed critter.

Giraffe.

Wolf.

Cayman.

Camel.

Tree Rat.

Chihuahua.

Long horned beast.

Lion house.

Giant bunny.

Long horned deer.

Thanks for sharing. My favs were the lion statue and the zebra. The stripes do this optical thing when I'm scrolling.

Wow, they have the rare and elusive tree rat there? I might have to go! Did you tell them around here we shoot and eat those?

The way it works is that the tree rat steals the food of other zoo animals in order to flourish. I am sure there are a few zoo animals that wouldn’t mind if there were fewer tree rats.

What camera setup are you using?

All of these were taken with a Canon 40D. That Canon 70D is looking mighty appealing though.
Lens selection was either Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM or EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM
