Michigan is a blue state though.

People have different experiences, educations and world views.
Some people never really know how stuff works and many just don't care.

Is the UAW really pushing socialist stuff, or is it an act for a large group of members?

Or is it a bargaining tactic?

Its like the MSM can't be trusted but some channel on YT is always right.
People want to believe what they want to believe.

Critical thinking goes out the window when folks hear what they want, or can target a boogeyman.

Anyone is more trustworthy than the guy who wants to eat the rich, while being rich.

The guy really really hurt his credibility with that foolish shirt. Not only did it express his personal political crazy, the UAW badge is on the shirt also. So now all of our UAW friends are branded with that moniker.

I'm hearing more and more folks, with no real dog in this fight (the same as me,) who are more and more turned off by Fain himself and his bizaarly high demands. The more Fain talks, the less serious he is taken by the average person watching this from a distance.

Heck, not every UAW member is a democrat.

The simple truth is, that it does not matter. When your elected leader is an open socialist/communist, who flaunts the symbols/phrases of socialists/communists, then you are by association also a socialist/communist, in the eyes, of everyone who is not a part of that group. This is in fact the way that the world works. You can say that not every member of the UAW is a socialist or democrat all you want. But they are now exactly that to everyone who is not in the UAW in general.

You are in fact guilty in the court of public opinion via association. The only way to disassociate now, is to openly oppose the socialist/communist who got elected by the UAW. Even for that you need the receipts as proof in the era of social media. So there is now a target on the backs of every UAW worker no matter what. Either a target from the people who are not socialists/communists, or a target from those that are socialist/communist after you disassociate with them.

I fully admit that everyone who voted for the elected leader is mentally retarded and I in no way support or his administration.
