After seeing the thread about the Girsan Witness 2011 I started looking around for a 2011 and I came across this

    https://www.classicfirearms.com/mil...enifer-cerakote-ambidextrous-safety-12500005/

Did a little googling and I’m reading (and watching videos) good things about this one, the only thing I’m concerned about is the fact that optics plates (other than the rmr plate it comes with) won’t be available till the fall.

The reviews say the trigger isn’t as good as a Staccato, but it’s also lot less, so before I drop 900 any one on ingo buy one yet?

    What’s your take?

Staccato triggers aren't all that anyway so I wouldn't worry about that part.

I seen some online reviews say it has a bad trigger around 8lb pull is that so?
The reviews I read were 5-5.5 pounds, and one bent the sear spring a little and it dropped to about 4 pounds.

I did get to finger fondle one at a local shop (940.00 plus tax) and it felt good, looked good, trigger was ok but not great (it could use some work) but as much as I wanted it, my problem was the mag release I couldn’t reach it with my thumb, and since this would be my new idpa pistol (shot 2-3 times a month) not being able to change the mag without adjusting my grip would make the Mac a no go for me.

Now if I knew for certain that 2011 extended mag releases would work, that might change it from a no to a possibly.

Every time I started thinking I want this, I go back to “I already have a 320 legion, with a dpp, and I have a 320 axg with a dpp for a backup gun…I already have everything I need to compete…do I really want to start over?”…so I talk myself out of buying one!

Then along comes my friend who says “i bought a Tisas 2011and it’s great!”…then the itch starts again!

If you don’t know tisas in turkey makes both and they’re both imported by SDS, and the differences are 5 inch bushing barrel, no mag well, and a curved trigger (and 125 bucks)

My trigger is much lighter. I’ll get trigger gauge on it today. It’s a 1911 so super simple to make trigger as nice and light as you want it. Out of the box compared to out of box prodigy there wasn’t a single thing I liked on prodigy better.

I’ll still take my CZs over anything always but this is a fun addition to the range toy collection.

I’m still on fence if it’s a keeper for me. Not so much the gun just the 2011 format. Couple range trips this weekend and maybe I’ll make a decision.

Ok so here’s an update on this thread, I was looking on a local shops site today and they had a 4.25 inch Tisas for 685,I hopped in the shower, and after I got out, I looked again and it was gone, I called and the guy on the phone said that’s a mistake we have one!…

so I drive up there (about 30 minutes away) and when I got there, it turns out the guy on the phone doesn’t know the difference between 4.25 and 5!…I asked the employee (different than the guy on the phone!) if there were any 4.25s in stock at any distributors, she looked and said yes, I can have it in a few days…but the price is higher!…my cost is more than the price I have listed on that one!…

So…I now own a 5 inch Tisas “turkatto!”

So this gun continues to impress me!

I field stripped it, and you won’t believe the quality!…the barrel groves lock up in the slide like a bank vault! I read somewhere that no parts are mim or cast…and I couldn’t see any mold marks anywhere! So yes I believe it!”

It looks like the only molded part is…the polymer frame!

The barrel looks polished! The whole barrel not just the feed ramp!

As of now, my only complaint is the lack of optics mounting options, im looking for a way to mount a delta point pro, if that’s even possible I know the dpp is wider than the slide, so I might be stuck with a rsmc footprint (most likely a holosun 4 or 507k)

Talked to a friend who has the 4.25 inch he’s a thousand rounds into his with no problems (other than having to buy longer screws to mount his holosun), and he said it’s his primary carry gun now! (Plus he qualified with it for his churches security team!)

So I’m looking at a third mag, a holster and a dot!…looking like this might be my new idpa gun…sorry sig sauer!
