I think the judges reasoning is this.
If Trump is elected I'm in deep trouble. So he can give him a slap on the wrist, and walk away.
If Trump isn't elected he can lay down the law, and send him away for maximum sentence the law allows.
Just my opinion that is.

Much of the stuff happening today would not be happening without prison sentences.

I think Indiana's current governor, expecting a return to that leadership, is polishing his new world order credentials for a losing run at the presidency in 2028.
